I am currently living in Melbourne but originally come from Malaysia. I love reading books hence I work at a bookstore. I have been to Japan and studied there for four years before coming to Melbourne, therefore I can speak three languages, English, Malay and Japanese. My favourite pastime is eating and hanging out with friends. Every two weeks I will eat at a new different place or try a different restaurant. I like to get to know new people, what they do and how they cope with life’s constant challenges.

As an introduction, I will display a few photos which I took in Melbourne.

In Melbourne, there are several festivals that are held every year. There’s the Melbourne Film Festival, Food and Wine Festival and Melbourne Music Festival. Seen in the photo here, this was a band that played outside the National Art Gallery during sunset (MusicFestival.jpg). The following two photos are of the National Art Gallery where many superb art exhibitions are held (Art Gallery1.jpg, Art Gallery2.jpg).
I live near the Melbourne Zoo, thus I frequent it every few months. It showcases many animals, for instance the zebra, ostrich and giraffe (MelbZoo.jpg). The kangaroo, Australia’s native animal, also live here (Kangaroo.jpg).
Australians are big fans of football. They call it footy. It is a gentler version of American rugby but without the big padded uniforms. The AFL (Australian Football League) is held every year throughout the autumn and winter seasons (Footy1.jpg, Footy2.jpg).
In Australia, there is a variety of culture. Different people from different countries come together to live in one country. Thus I have a chance of tasting different kinds of food such as Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican, Indian and Japanese. (Chinese.jpg, Vietnamese.jpg, western.jpg, ramen.jpg).
